Our approach

Three principles run through every feature:

• Your exact location is never stored. Not shown to others, not kept by us.
• Every report reaches a human. Nothing is closed by a bot.
• Leaving anything is always silent. A squad, a chat, the map – nobody is told why, so nobody has to justify feeling unsafe.

Built-in protections

Location

• Your position is stored as a rough zone a few hundred metres across; precise coordinates are discarded on arrival.
• Squad-mates see a soft circle – never a pin, a street, or an address.
• Map sharing is opt-in and expires by itself.
• Ghost mode hides you instantly. Nobody is notified.

People

• A hard 18+ gate at signup.
• Phone or email verification on every account.
• Optional selfie verification earns a badge and better matching – not mandatory, because demanding ID from everyone would shut out those who need this most.

Reporting

• Silent in both directions – the reported person never learns who reported them.
• Anything involving a threat or a minor is handled the same day.
• You are told the outcome: violation found, or not.

Meeting someone for the first time

Most first meetups are completely ordinary. These habits cost nothing and matter on the rare day something is off:

• Meet somewhere public – a cafe, a park in daylight, a busy market. Not a flat, not after dark, not the first time.
• Tell someone where you are going and when you'll be back.
• Arrange your own transport, both ways.
• Talk on voice first – ten minutes tells you more than a month of texting.
• Keep to yourself: your address, workplace, UPI or bank details, and any government ID.
• Trust your gut and leave. You owe nobody an explanation.

Recognising scams

The most common scam in India starts as friendship and ends with money. Treat these as alarms:

• Pushing to move off Naybor onto another app immediately
• Resisting every public meeting place
• Any mention of money – an investment tip, a trading app, a sudden emergency, a small loan
• Never willing to join voice or video
• A story that keeps changing

Report it even if you are not sure – you are giving a reviewer a data point, not getting someone in trouble.

Reporting and what happens next

1. Email care@naybor.club with SAFETY in the subject – what happened, roughly when, and screenshots if you have them.
2. A human reviews it. Threats and anything involving a minor are handled the same day.
3. We act – warning, strike, suspension or ban – and tell you the outcome.
